Justice Prayer Partners May 2012

Dear Justice Prayer Partners:

Each month just after our St. Francis' Monday evening Peace and Justice Committee meeting we make this special prayer request.   Please join your prayers with ours especially concerning the following efforts.

St. Francis Peace and Justice Committee meets on the first Mondays of each month... Monday, June 4 at 7:30 pm in the St. Francis School Library.

((I am so embarrassed... it seems that after the April Peace & Justice Committee meeting on April 9th there was no follow-up email for the Justice Prayer Partners.   Did you or anybody miss it?))

Thanks for your continued prayer... especially for these, our efforts in the next month(s):

Pray for our team for Building Energy & Sustainability at St. Francis.  Volunteer Opportunity:  We are creating, at Fr. Jim's request, a Sustainability Team at St. Francis Parish.  An initial discussion about starting this team took place May 7th, 2012.

Pray for immigrants and those of us setting the national rules.  Our Peace & Justice Committee plans to submit a statement of support for the proposed immigration rule change this month:  http://service4justice.blogspot.com/2012/04/immigration-proposed-rule-change.html

Who is walking "The St. James' Way?"  By mid May, please email Mary Wakefield <mwakefeld140796mi@comcast.net> with some prayers that she can say as she walks The St. James' Way!!!!   The St. James' Way is the pilgrimage route to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain, where tradition has it that the remains of the apostle Saint James are buried.
