Justice Prayer Partners February 2012

Hello Justice Prayer Partners:

Each month on the day just after our St. Francis' Monday evening Peace and Justice Committee meeting we make this special prayer request.

St. Francis Peace and Justice Committee meets next on Monday evening, March 5th at 7:30 pm in the St. Francis School Library.

Thank you for your continued prays.  We are experiencing many blessings due to God's abundant mercy and the effectiveness of your prayers.

In the past month we have enjoyed these successful events:

-- Our Martin Luther King Jr. - MLK supper was attended by 65-70 people. See photos!
-- Our Peacemakers Peace Training was attended by about 25 people.   See photos!

For the next couple months (the Lenten season) please pray for the success of our Lenten efforts to serve the poor and the vulnerable in our community, and pray that we will all be motivated to live the gospel by caring for and advocating for those in need.

Lenten Project:  "Neighbors in Need" ,  consists of a calendar, a donation sack, weekly short articles inside the Forum, and a display in the main entrance of the church.  Also, 5 members of St. Francis Parish will write front-page Forum articles about their experience serving with Catholic Social Services – these will be tied to the overall parish theme of "Change of Heart".
