Thank you for the FOOD DRIVE & Christ the King, Detroit 2017/06/25

Food Drive - Thank You !   Corpus Christi and Christ the King Parishes

We enjoyed visiting our brothers and sisters at Corpus Christi & Christ the King parish in Detroit.

Attached, these two panoramic photos are thanks to Thomas Powell.

Thanks to the many parishioners and visitors to our Masses, our St. Vincent Service Ministry of St. Francis Church was pleased with the 382 bags of groceries and food contributions.   We transported most of them to our sister parish, Corpus Christi, in Detroit, for their summer children's camp.

The food that came in the afternoon went to Foundations Preschool on Packard Road for their emergency needs. They were most grateful stating that they rarely get contributions in the summer and had families who had asked for help.

Our Committee would like to thank all those who donated food and cash donations and especially those who took time to help carry and load our trailer and cars. Your assistance was most appreciated. Thank you also to those who distributed the bags at the Masses and helped on Sunday including:          Gladys Bozo, Shirley Cohorst, Kathy Downer, Chris and Glen Feak, Dorothy Greca, Mary Hayden, U Christine and Ana Marquis, Anita Merritt, Carol McCaffrey, John and Angie Mudd, Joan Podell, Marianne & Thomas Powell, Kenneth Schmanski, Diane Laten, Elyce Rexer, Kim Pavich, Linda and Jim Wiseman, Sharon Sheldon, Donna Krukowski, Mary, Joey, and Angie Re, Matt Schnaidt, Amy Visel, Catherine Bradley, Mary Ann Kellermann, Sharon Sprague, Ed and Sharon Wright, Deacon John Machiorlatti, Father Shaun, and the Scott Wright Family.

We also express our gratitude to Mrs. Lemke and the St. Francis 6th graders for preparing the bags and Busch's Fresh Food Market on Green Road in Ann Arbor for donating the 900 bags.
