Food Drive Thank Yous

Our annual St. Vincent Service Ministry pre-Thanksgiving Food Drive was again a great success this year.  St Francis parishioners donated 588 bags of food and paper goods:

196 bags for HOPE Center
192 bags for Catholic Social Services of Washtenaw North-side Pantry
109 bags for Foundations Preschool (Perry)
 91 Corpus Christi Parish, Detroit

588 Total bags... Again, you have helped re-stock their shelves.

We would like to thank all parishioners who handed out bags, bought groceries, and/or carried the bags to the gym.    The following are especially appreciated for their contributions:  Mrs. Lemke's Six Graders for preparing the bags; Mrs. Anderson's Middle School students for making the Thanksgiving baskets for Foundations Preschool; those who delivered the bags to HOPE and Northside including Ed and Sharon Wright, Joe and Emma Targett, Steven and Kathy Magagna, Donna Krukowski, Bob and Jack DeBona, Bob and Julie Conlin, Denise, Mario, Allie, and Andrew Cadavieco, Dick and Barb Dehn, Terry MacLean, Susan Wawrzaszek, and Meg Falahee. A special thank you to Busch's Valu Land on S. Main for donating the grocery bags.   - Scott Wright, Linda Wiseman, and Mary Hayden, Food Drive Committee.
