Shelter Alpha House Thank You 2014-10-19

Thank you St. Francis Community for your help in providing shelter at IHN Alpha House this past week of Oct -19, 2014.  All together 52 people gave approximately 200 hours shopping for provisions, supplying meals, guiding kids as they played, and just being at Alpha House as nighttime support. Some of you have been regular volunteers while others had what we hope was an inaugural experience with families in need.

The residents said, "thank you". They thought the food was delicious, and they were so pleased by the great variety of meals. The moms especially were appreciative of the one-hour respite activity time with the kids.

We also recognize the significant leadership roll which, Vicki Hatch, contributes to make this happen.  Twice each year for these week-long shelter programs, her leadership has made for a wonderful team effort for the St. Francis of Assisi Church Community.

Our St. Francis Community will host the next Shelter at St. Francis Gym  March 2 – 9, 2015.

And, our St. Francis Community plans to again host IHN Alpha House Shelter the week of May 25 -31, 2015.
