Justice Prayer Partners June 2012

Dear Justice Prayer Partners:

Each month just after our St. Francis' Monday evening Peace and Justice Committee meeting we make this special prayer request.   Please join your prayers with ours especially concerning the following efforts.    

St. Francis Peace and Justice Committee meets on the first Mondays of each month... 

Our next meeting is (not in July, but) Monday, August 6, 2012, at 7:30 pm in the St. Francis School Library.

Thanks for your continued prayer... especially for these, our efforts in the next month(s):

Pray for our efforts to help create more affordable housing in the Ann Arbor area.  PLEASE: come to the  Religious Action for Affordable Housing (RAAH) Annual Meeting  Thursday, June 21, 2012,  at 6:30 pm—refreshments 7:00-8:00 pm—program.  Place: St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish Activities Center, Special Guest Speaker: Jennifer Hall, Executive Director of the Ann Arbor Housing Commission.  For more information visit RAAH.org .  St. Francis Parish is proud to be a member congregation of Religious Action for Affordable Housing (RAAH).  

Pray for our efforts to preserve the earth and its resources.   Watch for the first announcement about our Sustainability Project at St. Francis Parish on the St. Francis bulletin FORUM front cover on July 8th, 2012.

Friday, June 15th, 2012, and, every third Friday evening of the month, Prepare and Serve a Meal with a crew from St. Francis at the Ann Arbor Food Gatherers' Community Kitchen, located in the Delonis Center, Shelter, 312 W. Huron, Ann Arbor, MI.   To Serve Supper for the Hungry Twelve (12) volunteers (6 per shift) are needed for each meal.  To volunteer: Fill Out and Submit the volunteer form at   https://stfrancisa2.wufoo.com/forms/serve-meal-for-the-hungry/
