Evangelization is a hands-on experience. (From Canticle 2017 ?)

Evangelization is a hands-on experience.

"If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, 'Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,' but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it?" ... "You believe that God is one. You do well.  ...believe that and tremble."  (James 2:14-20)

Through the Risen Christ Jesus, God meets all of our needs.  We the Church actively care for all of God's sacred creation.    Outreach to the vulnerable in our society has always been an important and central part of our response to the Gospel message.

Our social ministry features abundant opportunities to fulfill this holy task.

We especially see God present in times of tenderness and caring in partnership with those vulnerable, when we engage in the works of mercy:  1.  instructing the ignorant, 2.  comforting the sorrowful, 3.  counseling the doubtful, 4.  admonishing the sinner, 5.  forgiving injuries, 6.  bearing wrongs patiently, 7.  giving alms to the poor & clothing those who lack, 8. feeding the hungry, 9.  giving drink to the thirsty,  10.  visiting the sick, 11.  visiting the prisoners,  12.  sheltering the homeless, 13.  burying the dead, &  14.  praying for the living and the dead.
