Thank you for Shelter at Alpha House June 2013
We had a great week at Alpha House.  The staff had many positive comments about the St. Francis volunteers and the food.  They were also very impressed that we did not have any "no-shows." The volunteers who slept over encountered no emergencies, so they were able to have a peaceful night's sleep.    As our St. Francis Parish coordinator I met MANY new people from St. Francis.  I really enjoyed it.
Thanks to the parishioners at St. Francis of Assisi Church, the residents at IHN Alpha House had great meals and more than seven hours of supervised playtime during the week.  More than forty volunteers, including a dozen, or so, kids ages 9-17, provided approximately 150 hours of service to this homeless shelter for families.
